The Learning Administration is now seeking a primary school teacher with an aesthetic focus for Njutånger School. This is a permanent full-time position, with a start date to be agreed upon – preferably at the beginning of the spring term 2026. The role includes teaching textile crafts, visual arts, and music for grades F–6, and we would appreciate if you have additional subject qualifications.
About the Workplace
Njutånger School is a small, warm, and welcoming F–6 school with approximately 80 students, located about 15 kilometers south of Hudiksvall. Here, you will encounter a genuine village school spirit where everyone knows each other – and where both students and adults feel seen and valued.
The school is situated in nature, with the forest as a neighbor and the sea within reach. A football field, school forest, ice rink, and ski trails are just around the corner and are actively used in both teaching and recreational activities. Our students are curious, eager to learn, and creative – and they appreciate aesthetic subjects that allow them to express themselves in various ways.
We work in age-mixed groups: F–1, 2–3, 4, and 5–6. This fosters close collaboration, flexibility, and a secure community throughout the school. As a small organization, we have a strong team spirit where we support each other, share responsibilities, and encourage open-mindedness for ideas and development.
We place great emphasis on relational leadership, joyful learning, and clear pedagogical practices. At our school, we work with curiosity and heart to understand how our students learn best. Collegial learning, creative thinking, and a warm atmosphere characterize our daily life.
Njutånger School also has a close collaboration with Enånger School, located eight kilometers away. We share leadership and parts of student health services, creating a stable structure and providing good opportunities for joint development.
Job Responsibilities
In the role of primary school teacher with an aesthetic focus, you will:
- Teach textile crafts, visual arts, and music for grades F–6
- Be responsible for planning, implementation, and assessment in your subjects
- Create creative, meaningful, and developing learning environments where students can explore their aesthetic expressions
- Contribute to the overall experience at our small school through close collaboration, flexibility, and shared responsibility
- Be a clear and present educator who builds good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
- Actively participate in the school's joint development work and our collegial learning

Your Profile
We are looking for a certified primary school teacher with qualifications in crafts, visual arts, and/or music.
