Job Description
We are currently seeking a teacher for grades 7-9 with a qualification in Swedish to join Pilbäckskolan. This position is a temporary contract for the spring term, with the possibility of extension, where you will be teaching Swedish at the middle school level.
You will be part of a team of teachers who collaboratively plan, take responsibility for, and assess the education and development of students. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. At Pilbäckskolan, you will be part of a competent team with high qualifications, a lot of joy, and high expectations of each other and our students.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a certified teacher qualified to teach Swedish for grades 7-9. It is an advantage if you are also qualified to teach English. You have prior experience working as a teacher in your subjects. You possess a good understanding of and knowledge about the school’s governing documents and can effectively utilize them in your daily work.
Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Naturally, you maintain a professional approach and strive for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the Workplace
Pilbäckskolan is part of Tygelsjö RO and is located in the picturesque Tygelsjö, approximately a 10-minute bus ride from Hyllie station. Tygelsjö is a residential area consisting of an older center surrounded by newly built neighborhoods. Pilbäckskolan was built in 2013 and is a school for grades 4-9 with 530 students. We have a high level of qualification among our teachers and a high achievement rate and eligibility for upper secondary education among our students. Our school is characterized by a strong sense of safety and well-being, as well as good community between teachers and students.
