We are now seeking a Primary School Teacher in Swedish and Social Studies at Rörsjöskolan, and we look forward to your application!
You will be part of a team that collaboratively plans and is responsible for students' education and development. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach Swedish and Social Studies, educating and supporting students in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. We are looking for someone with a strong ability to personalize and visualize instruction.
You will conduct varied instruction, blending theory with practical exercises. At Rörsjöskolan, you will be offered opportunities for development through structured collegiate learning, working in both subject groups and teams. We learn together with a present leadership that participates in development work. Your assignment includes mentorship. As a mentor, you will have specific responsibility for a group of students, allowing you to closely follow their learning and personal growth. As a mentor, you will inform and keep students' guardians updated about the student's development through regular conversations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher qualified to teach grades 4-6 in Swedish and Social Studies. Previous teaching experience and certification in Swedish as a second language are considered meritorious. You have a good understanding of and knowledge of school governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work.
Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good familiarity and proficiency, work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work to build good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

Rörsjöskolan is a preschool-6th grade school with over 700 students in four to five parallel classes. The school is located in Rörsjöstaden, central Malmö, with proximity to green areas and cultural activities. Our buildings are charming, reflecting our long and traditional history.
