About Kästaskolan
Kästaskolan is a municipal primary school and adapted primary school located in Huddinge. The school's core values are Learning, Safety, and Health. Approximately 300 students attend Kästaskolan from preschool class to grade 6. We have a beautiful school and an appealing environment that promotes good study conditions, where we strive every day for all children to develop as much as possible. Job Description
We are looking for a qualified primary school teacher specializing in leisure activities. As a primary school teacher for leisure activities, you will plan, implement, and evaluate activities in the after-school program. You will be substituting for a teaching teacher who will be on parental leave. This is a 10-month position covering 100%. This means you will plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching corresponding to a full-time teaching position.
Kästaskolan is a school that includes both primary and adapted primary education. At Kästaskolan, we aim to set high and clear expectations for our students. To achieve this, we have developed the "Kästa Lesson," which means all lessons will have a clear beginning and end. Students will know what they are to do, how they will do it, and why they are doing it. We are also actively working on safety by using PAX, structured support, and clear expectations throughout the school day. Additionally, we work actively to build good relationships with our students. Students should feel that we care about them at Kästaskolan while also understanding that we have high and clear expectations. Students at Kästaskolan should have good opportunities to learn and develop.
You will have responsibilities that involve promoting increased movement and health for our children in the after-school program. This may also include teaching classes within the primary school and adapted primary school.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
• Is a licensed primary school teacher specializing in leisure activities.
• Is well-acquainted with the school’s governing documents.
• Has excellent knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We are a school in an area where many of our students face challenges with the Swedish language. Therefore, it is important that our staff is proficient in Swedish to support our students in their language development.
It is also advantageous if you:
• Have technical skills and experience with the V-class system.
• Have experience with PAX in schools.
• Have experience teaching sports and health.
• Have experience supporting children and youth in physical activity.
