**Terra Novaskolan**
Terra Novaskolan is a primary school with programs ranging from preschool class to grade 6.
The school has an after-school program with three departments. The catchment area is Terra Nova, and currently, about 170 students attend here. Terra Novaskolan is situated in a scenic area that, along with the schoolyard, provides many opportunities for outdoor learning and play. There are football pitches, school forests, hills, and a skateboard ramp. We have organized break activities. The school features a full kitchen and its own sports hall.
The school has a high proportion of qualified and engaged teachers and recreation leaders who work to ensure that all students gain strong knowledge and self-confidence. We have clear focus areas for each grade level, and we strive for joy in work, both for the large and the small.
The school's guiding principles are: Safety, Knowledge, Participation, and Order to Work.
**Your Responsibilities**
The primary school at Terra Novaskolan consists of preschool classes and grades 1-3 with one class in each grade. Each class has at least one responsible lead teacher, and we work with shared leadership with one and a half to two teachers per class. This academic year, the role involves teaching in grades 1 and 2 alongside a responsible lead teacher in each class.
You will work closely with all teachers at the school, but primarily within the lower primary working team, which facilitates consensus regarding teaching methods, approaches, decision implementation, and joint activities.
You will provide structured teaching based on the current curriculum, follow up and analyze your instruction, and assess student results. You will be a clear leader in the classroom and be willing to explore new ways to continually improve your teaching. You work with high expectations and see strong relationships with students and guardians as the natural foundation of your work.
In collaboration with colleagues, you will create engaging learning environments from a clear and relational perspective. You will collaborate with the school's student health team.
We are looking for a teacher who inspires, develops, and possesses an inclusive mindset, adapting the learning environment so all students can thrive. We implement PAX in the lower primary.
**Who Are You?**
You, as an applicant, are a certified teacher or awaiting your certification as a teacher for preschool class and grades 1-3. The position may be adjusted based on the applicant's qualifications.
You have a positive outlook and believe in each individual's potential for development and learning. You are unpretentious and solutions-focused, understanding the benefits of working as a team and learning together. You have knowledge of or interest in learning about accessible learning environments and recognize the importance of adapting your teaching based on students’ needs from a relational perspective. We seek someone who is confident in their teaching role, a clear leader, familiar with school governance documents, and has a view of children that embraces an inclusive approach within the school.
You have the ability to engage students by cultivating a positive learning atmosphere in your instruction. You work independently and demonstrate strong leadership both in and outside the classroom, sparking and fostering students’ curiosity, interest, and learning. You hold high and positive expectations for students and their capacity to grow.

**About the Education and Labor Administration**
As part of Region Gotland, we in the Education and Labor Administration contribute to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults.
