As a primary school leisure center teacher, you work pedagogically and socially based on the operation's goals and guidelines. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction in accordance with current governing documents and actively work to develop the leisure center activities. Together with the team, you are responsible for creating a safe environment for students, both during school hours and at the leisure center. We are seeking someone who wants to help develop the activities at Stenröseskolan. As a primary school leisure center teacher with us, you will be based in a class and carry out the planning for students according to the pedagogical instructions. You will collaborate with other educators and build the common thread between school and leisure center. You will be responsible for the leisure center and supervising the student assistants. You will also conduct teaching based on your qualifications. The classes work closely together, and the starting point is that we create a holistic environment together. You are the student's interpreter in various communication situations. You support, lead, and perform different activities in school and leisure center. Students need help in various care situations, such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and feeding. Some lifting is involved. During the day, you help students with position changes, perform breathing exercises, and stretching programs as instructed. Students have multiple aids such as braces, standing frames, walkers, work chairs, and wheelchairs, and we ensure that students can use them throughout the day. During the day, you are also responsible for communication with guardians via phone/iPad. We Are Seeking We are seeking a licensed primary school leisure center teacher or someone with a leisure pedagogy degree. Preferably with qualifications in physical education or music. Previous experience as a primary school leisure center teacher is a requirement. Previous experience in an adapted primary school is meritorious. Knowledge of the Nelms method is also meritorious. We seek someone who is experienced in documentation, comfortable making pedagogical assessments, and has experience supervising, such as student assistants. It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience with students with intellectual disabilities and extensive mobility impairments with significant care needs, as well as knowledge and experience with AAC (Alternative Augmentative Communication), preferably communication at an early developmental level. Experience with tube feeding and using various aids such as standing frames, walkers, lifts, etc., is considered meritorious. The job requires good collaboration skills, being self-driven, ability to think outside the box, and willingness to develop alongside colleagues. You need to be able to engage and be active with students and colleagues in various daily activities. Together, you will create a creative learning environment that focuses on student motivation and desire to learn - the team is more important than the individual! You need to see the big picture and take initiative in what needs to be done during the day. Good IT skills are also a prerequisite. You need to feel confident in your professional role and be able to take responsibility for leading and guiding colleagues in your work. At the turn of the year, we will move to our new school on Sofiavägen in Lund. The school serves students with intellectual disabilities and extensive physical functional variations. We have 17 students divided into two classes. Staff density is high and consists of student assistants and teachers. We work extensively with mixed groups between classes and cross-thematic approaches. After school, we have leisure center activities in the same facilities. Our starting point is that we are one school, and all students are everyone's responsibility.
