Job Responsibilities
We at Bergaskolan are currently seeking a primary school teacher for after-school care! You will belong to one of our five teams and become part of the entire school's after-school program, which strives for the best possible environment for every student!
As a primary school teacher in after-school care with us, you will plan and implement teaching as well as assess students in our after-school program. Based on the curriculum and governing documents, we collaboratively create a safe environment in after-school care that aims to strengthen our students in both their academic and personal development while providing them with meaningful leisure time. In after-school care, we also strive to promote diverse interactions, create conditions for social community, and strengthen group relationships.
The role also includes working with recess activities. As part of the after-school team, you will be outside during each recess to create valuable time for students and promote movement and activity. While our students are in school, you will collaborate with our other school staff. It may also be relevant for you to conduct activities in one or more subjects during the school day.
Together, we create a program that meets our students' needs in the best way possible!
Qualifications
You who are applying are a licensed primary school teacher for after-school care. Previous experience working as a primary school teacher in after-school care is an advantage.
You have a good understanding and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply them in your daily work. You are creative and can adapt your approach and pedagogical methods and techniques based on the individual student's needs or the needs of the student group. You develop the educational activities to be both fun, inspiring, and challenging. We expect you to view each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students. You have good computer skills and experience using IT in your teaching. We primarily use Skola24, Infomentor, Microsoft Teams, and Google Classroom in addition to regular email and word processing programs. It is essential that you have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
To fit as a primary school teacher for after-school care with us, it is important that you are clear about what you want to do and achieve. The focus of the role is, of course, on the after-school program, which we want to maintain at a high quality. At the same time, you are collaborative and place importance on building trusting working relationships.
Welcome with your application!
