After School Care Teacher

As an after-school program teacher, you will become an important adult who inspires, supports, and challenges children in their social, creative, and personal development. Together with engaged colleagues, you will build an environment where students can experience community, grow, and explore new opportunities. YOUR ROLE As an after-school program teacher, you will plan, lead, and develop pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents. Your task is to create learning environments that encourage interaction, curiosity, and creativity – where students have the chance to try, discover, and learn through both play and activities. You will collaborate closely with other educators, and together you will shape a holistic approach that benefits each student's development, both in school and in the after-school program. The role also involves building relationships with students and guardians, collectively creating the best conditions for children's daily life. YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE We are seeking someone with a teaching certification specializing in after-school programs. If you are nearing the end of your education and awaiting certification, you are also welcome to apply. To succeed in the role, you need the ability to create engagement and safety. You are clear and receptive in your communication and can switch between leading large groups, small groups, and individual students. You are comfortable with the balance between structure and creativity, and you see diversity and differences as a strength in the operation. To work within Education and Labor Market services, you must submit an extract from the criminal record register. You will order this extract for schools and childcare from the Police (https://polisen.se/). It is valid for one year and must be renewed thereafter.
