About this role
A workplace for those who aspire for more
Hedla Rehab is a medical knowledge company that offers intensive and individually tailored rehabilitation, primarily for individuals with stroke or other acquired brain injuries. Our operations take place in an inspiring and enriched environment on Costa Tropical, east of Málaga in southern Spain. With some of the leading specialists in neurological rehabilitation, we strive to provide each participant with the best possible conditions for recovery and development.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with the competence and drive to offer our participants the very best rehabilitation - or someone with ambition who is prepared to put in the extra work required to quickly achieve specialist competence in neurological rehabilitation. We seek a licensed physiotherapist who not only has a great interest in the brain's remarkable recovery capacity but also possesses a work ethic and commitment that goes beyond the ordinary.
To thrive and succeed with us, these qualities need to be a natural part of you and expressed in your way of working and being:
• **Commitment**: A genuine passion for helping others and an unwavering desire to make a significant difference in the participants' lives.
• **Sensitivity**: The ability to listen deeply and understand each participant's unique needs and circumstances.
• **Social Skills**: A talent for creating a positive atmosphere and continuously contributing to an inspiring and inclusive environment.
• **Collaboration**: A genuine sense of seeing colleagues and their needs, actively contributing where necessary, and taking responsibility for the whole - we support each other and work together.
• **Initiative**: The ability to stay ahead, read situations, and act proactively without waiting for instructions.
• **Creativity**: A natural out-of-the-box thinker who can tailor effective exercises that both motivate and inspire.
• **Flexibility**: A willingness to adapt and step up for the organization when needed, with a mutual give-and-take that builds success.
• **Perseverance**: The capacity to manage many parallel tasks with focus and energy while maintaining calm, upholding high quality, and delivering even when conditions are challenging.
• **Attention to Detail**: Proficiency in seeing the big picture without missing the details, working systematically with high precision, and always relying on current research and evidence-based methods.
What does the job entail?
At Hedla, you will have the opportunity to work in an environment that few workplaces can match. Your workday may range from our lush garden to the nearby beach, where you assist our participants in making progress and achieving the impossible once again. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Preparing and conducting intensive and individualized training for participants, based on current research and evidence-based methods.
• Actively participating in team meetings to discuss progress, strategies, and develop new solutions to optimize rehabilitation.
• Contributing creative ideas and perspectives to ensure our participants receive the most effective and inspiring rehabilitation possible.
• Documenting each participant's progress during the rehabilitation period and actively evaluating your own and the team's efforts to optimize work and achieve the best possible results.
• Planning and designing effective, safe, and motivating home training programs that truly get implemented.
• Ensuring high-quality record-keeping characterized by professionalism, clarity, and well-thought-out language reflecting your specialist competence and attention to detail.
• Performing follow-up and physiotherapy training remotely via phone or video calls.
• Planning and contributing to the creation of educational materials and inspiring content for social media and the web.
