About this role
GIS Developer
We are looking for a passionate and driven GIS Developer who wants to be part of our Spatial Data Management team – an innovative team working with advanced GIS technology, data processing, and smart solutions that make a difference. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to diverse and meaningful client projects where you create value from day one. Are you an experienced GIS specialist who loves working with complex data flows and smart solutions? Do you want to help shape the future of decision support using geodata?
Welcome to Esri Sweden and our Spatial Data Management team!
About the Role
As a GIS Developer in our Spatial Data Management team, you will help create solutions that make a difference – both for our clients and for society. The role involves combining technical expertise with creative problem-solving and close collaboration with colleagues and clients.
You will work with the entire chain: from structuring and processing large amounts of geographic data to developing smart and scalable solutions that provide real value.
Your Responsibilities
• Work with large volumes of geographic data – from management to advanced processing
• Establish and optimize data flows from various sources
• Conduct complex analyses that underpin strategic decisions
• Develop scalable solutions that create customer benefits and streamline processes and workflows
• Participate in projects from start to finish – from architecture and strategy to implementation
• Collaborate closely with both your team and other areas of expertise within the organization
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
• A few years of practical experience in programming (such as Python, JavaScript)
• A few years of experience with FME
• A relevant university degree in GIS, computer science, geography, or similar
• You need to be able to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Meritorious
• Practical experience of a few years with the ArcGIS platform
• Knowledge of database management in ArcGIS geodatabases and Microsoft SQL Server
We believe you are a curious and solution-oriented person with strong technical skills and good communication abilities. You thrive in collaboration, think creatively, and are willing to take responsibility for driving work forward. With us, it is important that you feel comfortable not always having all the answers – we see it as an opportunity to learn and grow together.
Other
You will be stationed at one of our offices in Falun, Gävle, Gothenburg, Kista, Karlstad, or Malmö.
Benefits
Esri Sweden is part of a collective agreement and we offer, among other things, a benefits portal, wellness allowance, and lunch benefits.
