Street and Park Maintenance Worker

About Us The Operations Unit is one of five units within the Community Development Department. The unit is divided into three different areas: Water and Sewage, Street, and Park. We are now seeking a new colleague with broad knowledge in operations, maintenance, and management who can work in both street and park areas. Your Role As a Street and Park Worker, you will work with operations and maintenance of public outdoor environments. Our area of responsibility is extensive and covers parks, streets, forests, recreational areas, sports facilities, and swimming and ice halls, including winter road maintenance. We are a small work group with a varied and socially important mission, where everyone has different responsibilities within the unit but covers for each other in other parts of the operation as needed. Snow removal is included in the position, and on-call duty may occur. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is driven, responsible, and enjoys working outdoors regardless of season and weather. You have good hospitality skills and always strive to deliver excellent service and quality to those we serve. As the role involves many varied tasks, it is important that you are unpretentious and flexible. For this role, we value broad knowledge in operations and management to contribute to all parts of our operation. We Are Looking for Someone With: - Education in ground/green area maintenance or experience deemed equivalent by the employer - Experience handling different types of machinery, such as tractors, utility vehicles, and lawn mowers - Good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written - B driver's license, as you will be driving a vehicle on the job In this recruitment, we place great importance on personal suitability.
