About this role
Gävle District Court is a general court with jurisdiction over Gävle, Sandviken, Hofors, and Ockelbo municipalities. The court handles civil cases, criminal cases, matters, and bankruptcies. The court has approximately 45 employees.
Job Responsibilities
As a security guard, you form the core of security work while creating a sense of safety in the court's premises for both visitors and employees. This involves a range of important and developmental tasks that contribute to a safe and secure environment. Your work will also include several administrative tasks. Together with your colleagues, you will work on:
• Staffing the security checkpoint
• Staffing the reception
• Maintaining order during hearings and in public areas
• Managing technology in courtrooms
• Handling certain administrative tasks and case management
• Participating in internal service tasks such as mail handling, facility oversight, archives, office supplies ordering, delivery reception, etc.
• Managing access cards, alarms, and visitor procedures
You will rotate between different tasks, making the work varied. As a court security guard, some overtime work is included when trials may continue after regular working hours. Some weekend work may also occur.
We are seeking candidates who:
• Have an approved high school diploma/certificate or equivalent education
• Hold a valid security guard authorization
• Have excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written
• Are experienced computer users
Additional qualifications that will be considered:
• Security guard authorization with court service eligibility
• Previous experience in the judicial system, preferably in courts or other relevant agencies
• Relevant administrative experience and strong administrative skills
The security guard position is a team effort requiring strong collaboration skills and good judgment. You will contribute to our positive work environment! Practical Information
We are seeking a security guard for a permanent position, with an initial 6-month probationary period. Start date by arrangement.
