We are looking for a new physiotherapist colleague who is interested in working with what is most important to a person – the brain. Our Operations
The physiotherapists at Uppsala University Hospital work in many different departments throughout the hospital and meet patients in inpatient care, day care, and outpatient care. Since Uppsala University Hospital is a university hospital with a mission to conduct healthcare and research, you will also have the opportunity to help develop care for our patients. Our operations also include clinical placements for new physiotherapist colleagues. Supervision is therefore a natural and recurring part of the job.
As a physiotherapist at Uppsala University Hospital, you will meet people of various ages and situations. The work is described as exciting, challenging, varied, and enriched with meaningful tasks. Putting the patient at the center is a given! We believe it is important to have fun at work and that everyone contributes to a pleasant workplace. You will be part of a skilled team that supports and helps each other while also working independently. An individual competence plan is created annually with your immediate supervisor. Knowledge development also occurs through professional meetings where physiotherapists exchange knowledge and experience, as well as through networks and interdisciplinary meetings. Your Mission
The foundation of our working method is a multidisciplinary team based on a holistic view of the patient. You will be based in the neurology department under inpatient care. We have teams in MNS, DBS, and NPH care.
Your responsibilities include assessing functional capacity, providing treatment and rehabilitation interventions, as well as evaluating assistive devices. The work involves close contact between patients and staff, which requires excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a well-developed ability to collaborate. You will also work closely with colleagues in neurosurgery.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist. Clinical experience working as a physiotherapist in neurology is considered an asset, as is experience in supervision and teamwork. We also welcome recent graduates with a particular interest in neurology.
Your Competence
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. The work involves close contact with patients and staff, which requires good interpersonal skills, flexibility, a well-developed ability to collaborate, and organizational skills. We appreciate your ability to prioritize and create structure among your various tasks.
We Offer
We offer two full-time fixed-term positions. Period: 02/26/2024 - 05/27/2025. Start date according to agreement.
