We are now looking for a new colleague for our geriatric care departments!
Jakobsbergsgeriatriken has an acute geriatric mission and receives elderly, frail, and multi-ill patients from acute hospitals, directly from home or ambulance, as well as referrals from general practitioners.
There are five care departments, two of which focus on stroke and cognitive medicine, respectively. Here, you can expand your knowledge in several medical areas alongside knowledgeable and dedicated colleagues. The organization also has a team for enhanced discharge and a cognitive clinic.

Responsibilities:
Plan rehabilitation together with the patient, the team, and relatives. Your work includes assessments, training of physical functions, testing, and prescribing assistive devices. In daily operations, our physiotherapists support staff regarding proper transfer techniques, educate in rehabilitative approaches, and how to use various types of assistive devices.
Supervision of physiotherapy students occurs within the organization. We can proudly say that several of our students return to us as summer assistants later in their studies and subsequently as licensed colleagues.
The position includes some weekend work a few times a year, allowing for weekdays off. A probationary period may be applied.
Qualifications Required:
Licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist
Meritorious:
Previous work experience in geriatric or somatic inpatient care.

You prioritize patient safety and the working environment by contributing with good communication and collaboration skills, flexibility, and a professional demeanor. - Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
