About this role
Make a Difference. Every Day.
Do you want to contribute to meaningful and developmental work where you make a difference for children, youth, and adults with disabilities? With us at Habilitation in Trelleborg, you will work in an engaged team focusing on participation, person-centered work, and a salutogenic approach.
Habilitation exists to make life more possible for individuals with a lasting disability, as well as their relatives and network. The disability may be due to motor impairment, intellectual disability, and/or autism. Habilitation Clinics Trelleborg is divided into three teams: one team focused on adults and two teams focused on children and youth. The position will be primarily located in one of the child teams, with regular interventions also occurring for our adult patients.
Our workplace values participation for our patients and their networks. We have a salutogenic approach, which means everything we do should be meaningful, comprehensible, and manageable. This perspective shines through our entire operation, not just in patient interactions but in all aspects of our administration.
WORK TASKS
We now have the opportunity to welcome a physiotherapist colleague to our team!
As a physiotherapist with us, you will assess and provide interventions for patients with atypical motor development. Another important task is collaborating with occupational therapists and speech therapists to conduct assessments according to quality registers. We participate in several important follow-up programs, including the Follow-up Program for Cerebral Palsy (CPUP), which aims to detect and prevent hip dislocation and severe malformations. We are also connected to the Quality Register for Spina Bifida and Other Neural Tube Defects (MMCUP), working to prevent unnecessary complications.
You will provide support, advice, and education based on the disability and its everyday consequences, including prescribing and following up on assistive devices. Interventions can be provided individually and/or in groups, both through remote contact and physically at the clinic.
We work in teams where all professions are equally significant, and we support each other daily in patient work. A crucial part of the job is collaborating with other actors such as municipal services, assistive device services, orthopedic technical services, and psychiatry.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek a licensed physiotherapist authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 on the Council of Europe scale are required. A B driver's license is also mandatory. As swimming is regularly involved with our patients, swimming ability is required. Previous experience in habilitation is meritorious.
In this role, you will have many contact points and collaborate with diverse people. It is therefore crucial that you are communicative and clear in both speech and writing, with an ability to listen and observe others' communication. Habilitation is characterized by great commitment, willingness to contribute, and sharing experiences and knowledge. We always strive to keep the patient in focus and ensure their ability to participate and influence their care through person-centered approaches.
We welcome your application and look forward to getting to know you!
