About this role

About the workplace Ersta Elderly Care is part of Ersta Diakoni and operates a total of eight elderly care facilities in Stockholm and Uppsala. Our goal is to provide our residents with a safe and enriching everyday life, filled with activities, community, and pleasant, nutritious meals. Here, everyone should feel at home! Susannahemmet is a modern care and nursing home that opened in 2022. We offer round-the-clock care for individuals with dementia or somatic illnesses. The residence has 90 apartments divided into ten units and is characterized by a safe, homely, and person-centered care environment. The building includes both a preschool and a bakery, and just outside awaits the greenery of Långsjön – an environment that encourages movement, community, and quality of life. As an employee with us, we offer a range of benefits that we hope will provide you with the conditions to thrive at work and enjoy a rewarding leisure time. About the role As a physiotherapist with us, you will become an important part of our multi-professional team, which includes occupational therapists, activity coordinators, nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors. Together, we work based on a function-preserving approach – focusing on enhancing each individual's abilities, participation, and quality of life. Our colleague Elisabeth captures the sentiment well: “True joy at work is igniting the desire to participate and enabling a person to feel trust and a moment of joy in their existence – to see the individual.” You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and following up on physiotherapeutic interventions and will serve as a crucial support for both residents and staff. Your duties will include, among others: • Assessing mobility and establishing individual plans in the journal system Welfare • Supervising and educating care staff on ergonomics and transfer techniques • Prescribing, trialing, and following up on assistive devices • Planning and leading physical activities – both individually and in groups • Participating in team rounds, improvement councils, and case conferences. You will maintain close collaboration with the occupational therapist at the facility and will be part of a network with other physiotherapists and occupational therapists within Ersta Elderly Care – a context focused on experience sharing and development. The work is scheduled for weekdays during the day, with the opportunity to influence the distribution of working hours. Who are you? We are seeking someone who is confident in their professional role and enjoys making a difference in people’s daily lives. You are eager to share your knowledge with colleagues and possess a pedagogical and clear communication style. You work in a structured manner, see solutions rather than obstacles, and have a natural focus on resource efficiency, quality, and the environment. You are flexible, cooperate closely with the team, and maintain a good dialogue with management. Above all, you have a warm and respectful approach – towards both residents and colleagues – and share our values of seeing the whole person. With us, professionalism, trust, and hope are united in everything we do. Your experience • Licensed physiotherapist • At least two years of experience in the profession. Additional details regarding recruitment We apply a probationary employment period as standard. Prior to employment, we will request an extract from the criminal record registry. Contact person: Sophie Arvidsson, Operations Manager, [email protected] Application deadline: November 24, 2025 Please note that we do not accept applications via email. We warmly welcome your application!
