Ersta Elderly Care is part of Ersta Diakoni and operates a total of eight elderly care facilities in Stockholm and Uppsala. Susannahemmet is a modern care and nursing home that opened in 2022. We offer round-the-clock care for individuals with dementia or somatic illnesses. The residence has 90 apartments divided into ten units and is characterized by a safe, homely, and person-centered care environment. The building includes both a preschool and a bakery, and just outside awaits the greenery of Långsjön – an environment that encourages movement, community, and quality of life.

About the role
As a physiotherapist with us, you will become an important part of our multi-professional team, which includes occupational therapists, activity coordinators, nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors. Together, we work based on a function-preserving approach – focusing on enhancing each individual's abilities, participation, and quality of life. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and following up on physiotherapeutic interventions and will serve as a crucial support for both residents and staff. Your duties will include, among others:
• Assessing mobility and establishing individual plans in the journal system Welfare
• Supervising and educating care staff on ergonomics and transfer techniques
• Prescribing, trialing, and following up on assistive devices
• Planning and leading physical activities – both individually and in groups
• Participating in team rounds, improvement councils, and case conferences.
You will maintain close collaboration with the occupational therapist at the facility and will be part of a network with other physiotherapists and occupational therapists within Ersta Elderly Care – a context focused on experience sharing and development.
The work is scheduled for weekdays during the day, with the opportunity to influence the distribution of working hours.

Your experience
• Licensed physiotherapist
• At least two years of experience in the profession.
