We are now seeking a FUT Investigator for the Benefits Unit! We will continuously invite candidates for interviews during the application period. Your role with us As a FUT Investigator, you will investigate erroneous payments and suspected benefit fraud. You will also work proactively within the department's operations by conducting skills enhancement initiatives and audits, such as crime-proofing. You will support the department's operations in developing routines to prevent welfare fraud in collaboration with the coordinator for drug and crime prevention. You will prepare and compile statistics for management and the board. This position includes representing the board in negotiations at the District Court and presenting cases for decisions in committees. You will collaborate internally and externally in various networks. Who are we looking for? We are looking for candidates with a degree in social work, law, or another higher education that the employer deems suitable for the position. You should have a good understanding of legislation in this area. Experience working with FUT within municipalities or other authorities is an advantage, as is experience working in a politically governed organization. We expect you to have excellent administrative skills, be meticulous, and capable of making independent assessments. Documentation and communication are part of the role, and proficiency in spoken and written language is required. You should also have the ability to collaborate well both internally and externally, and knowledge of multiple languages is a plus. For this position, a valid driver's license (Category B) is required. Good general IT skills are a prerequisite for the role, as some work will be conducted digitally. Proficiency in the Office Suite is beneficial, as is experience with the Lifecare operational system. About us The position is currently located in the Investigation Operations, which consists of about 75 employees working towards the goal of having an established and self-sufficient population. The operation is divided into four units: the Benefits Unit, Planning Unit 1, Planning Unit 2, and the Establishment Unit. The work is client-oriented and varied. The FUT Investigator works in the Benefits Unit and has frequent contact with employees from all units. The department has been working with FUT since 2014, and the assignment will now be expanded to cross-departmental efforts to counter welfare fraud. As part of the transition to the new Social Services Act, the Department of Work and Welfare will implement an organizational change, and the position will then be relocated to the management team starting April 1, 2026.
