ABOUT THE POSITION The operational activities at SJ Traffic Management are available around the clock to ensure excellent customer care and that customers reach their final destination. Furthermore, SJ Traffic Management acts as operational management for staff serving on our trains. Our goal is to have a customer-focused traffic management that ensures efficient resource management of tracks, vehicles, and personnel. SJ Traffic Management is responsible for running traffic in a qualitative manner and fulfilling the customer promises we have made at SJ. As a Functional Manager, you will have a dynamic role where active leadership within the team is important, and you will handle both operational and strategic issues for the function. You will be part of a team with broad expertise that views changes in pace as a welcome challenge. RESPONSIBILITIES Job Responsibilities In the role of Functional Manager, you will be responsible for employees and functions within one or a couple of areas at SJ Traffic Management. You will have a clear customer focus as you lead and coordinate the work of the function. You are responsible for developing processes, methods, tools, and routines for the function, often in collaboration with other production-related units at SJ. As a Functional Manager, your areas of responsibility will include: * Having personnel responsibility and addressing personnel issues for your team. * Having functional responsibility and leading meetings for the function and SJ Traffic Management. * Working on improvement projects and developing processes, methods, tools, and routines. Collaborating with others is something that drives you as you will create, develop, and maintain relationships both internally and externally. We are looking for you who: - Have a degree from a university or equivalent experience - Have at least 3-5 years of work experience with leadership experience in operational management - Speak and write fluently in Swedish and English It is an advantage if you have: * Experience in business development, strategic improvement work, or project management * Experience working with training-related issues * Experience dealing with collective agreements and labor law matters The position is a permanent role with a start date to be agreed upon. The position is based at our headquarters in central Stockholm, and we at SJ offer you the opportunity to work through a hybrid solution of digital meetings remotely as well as being present in the office.
