Texi is a subsidiary of Textilia that develops modular logistics solutions for efficient, cost-reducing, and automated handling of workwear/textiles. Our solutions are used by players in the healthcare, food, and pharmaceutical industries and are based on RFID technology. The solutions include both in-house developed software and hardware as well as third-party products.
Our full-stack developer will be going on parental leave in March, and we are now seeking a developer to join the team during his absence. You will work closely with other parts of the company and play a central role in the further development of our products and services.
About the position
As a temporary member of the development team, you will work across the entire breadth of Texi's technical platform – from backend development in Java to integrations, frontend components, and Python-based services. You will be part of a small, competent team with short decision-making paths and great opportunities to influence your own workday.
We are looking for someone who combines solid technical skills with effective problem-solving and preferably has experience with hardware/software systems or IoT-related solutions.
Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of Java-based backend
- Work with Python services and automation tools
- Contribute to frontend development (JavaScript/HTML, preferably Angular or equivalent)
- Further develop Texi's internal solutions and the logistics system Texi Management System
- Participate in architecture decisions, troubleshooting, and technical improvement initiatives
- Close collaboration with developers, product teams, and other internal expertise environments
Experience
The following qualities/experiences are a plus, but not required:
- Experienced developer, preferably at a senior level in Java
- Good experience with Python and comfortable working in C/C++
- Proficiency in JavaScript/HTML – preferably also with frameworks like Angular or Qt
- Education in IT or development at the university or college level
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and a Scandinavian language
- Structured, analytical, and self-driven
- Experience with hardware (hobby projects or professional) is an advantage

Texi develops and sells logistics solutions for automated handling of workwear/textiles, based on RFID technology and software/hardware. The company operates in Norway and Sweden, with offices in Trondheim and Stockholm, and customers throughout Scandinavia. Texi was founded in Norway nearly 25 years ago and has been delivering RFID-based solutions since 2003.
