JOB DESCRIPTION
Harads School is a smaller village school (grades F-6) where our guiding principles of diversity, variation, and community aim to give every student the opportunity to develop into their best self. The school is beautifully situated in the village, surrounded by forests, rivers, and mountains. The proximity to nature allows for daily outdoor activities that invite learning, play, and community. Here, different experiences, knowledge, and cultures come together as we often work in mixed-age and interdisciplinary groups. Together, we promote an inclusive learning environment where everyone should feel welcome. Do you want to make a difference for children every day? Here, there are great opportunities to influence and develop alongside colleagues and students. This school year, we will focus particularly on reading! We are now looking for someone who enjoys working with children and people, is passionate about reading with and for students, and is flexible and involved in other teaching as well. Furthermore, you have a genuine commitment and a desire to make a difference, collaborate, and be proactive.
We have a need for two positions, one that can work 100% and one that can work 75%. You will:
- Work as a resource during school hours. This may involve working with individual students, small groups, or the whole class.
- Be responsible for implementing initiatives that teachers have planned.
- Be part of the after-school care team and, together with them, be responsible for the education in after-school care.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
- Have experience working with children or students, preferably in a school setting.
- Are confident and understand the importance of clear structures.
- Are positive, good at collaborating, and building relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Together is the key word.
- Are flexible and can adapt when the needs of the organization change.
- Are curious and eager to learn.
We primarily seek a qualified teacher or leisure educator, but other applicants are also welcome to apply.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate—apply today!
