About the Workplace
Leisure Helsingborg works to create a rich and sustainable leisure offering for everyone in Helsingborg. We do this by offering attractive youth centers and meeting places, open and accessible sports facilities, exciting events and experiences, and support for the city's associations.
At our youth centers, activity houses, and meeting places primarily targeting youth aged 10-19, we work towards goals aligned with the committee's decisions and the development of our operations. Young Leisure works with youth participation and influence, health, experiences, and interests that enrich young people's free time. We collaborate closely with schools, civil society, associations, and other departments within the city.
Job Responsibilities
Young Leisure is seeking someone who believes in young people's own abilities and meets them as primary resources in their own lives and society at large. Work occurs during young people's free time, which means working evenings and weekends.
We seek someone who wants to strengthen and engage young people in actively creating, preparing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives and activities that reflect their needs, interests, ideas, and experiences.
We work to create a safe, attractive, creative, and stimulating environment for our youth. An important part of the work is finding new methods and approaches to reach out to young people, as well as coaching and supporting them in planning and implementing various activities and events.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in youth leadership, social pedagogy, health pedagogy, or an equivalent education as deemed by the employer.
Practical experience in open youth activities, youth engagement, group work, and events is advantageous.
Great importance is placed on being initiative-taking, driven, creative, and able to work independently and collaboratively. Knowledge and experience in critical norm perspectives, gender equality, and coaching approaches are a plus.
Personal qualities include being curious, engaged, innovative, with a strong ability to collaborate and create engagement with young people. You are driven by the desire to support young people in their personal and social development and place great value on approach and working systematically to achieve results.
You are also good at communicating verbally and in writing.
You have good IT skills, proficiency in the Office package, and social media.
