About this role
Are you passionate about children's development and want to be part of a positive team of colleagues? We are looking for someone interested in a temporary position replacing one of our colleagues on leave.
Gillberga School is a primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 120 students and 20 committed employees. The school is located 15 kilometers from Eskilstuna city center. We are surrounded by a unique environment with proximity to fantastic nature, which contributes to a sense of closeness and security for students. You will become part of our experienced and stable work group, characterized by community and collegial learning. We collaborate with Hammargärdet School as we are part of the same principal's area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an after-school recreation leader, you will work at our after-school center and in grades F-3, implementing planned activities together with colleagues. Our location near forest and nature makes it easy for us to conduct outdoor activities. Both opening and closing shifts are included in the position. We have five colleagues working in the after-school program, including recreation teachers who have the primary task of planning activities based on the curriculum. During the day, you will be in the classroom, supporting daily instruction. You will also collaborate with other school teachers to create a common thread through students' school days.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for candidates with experience working in after-school programs or preschools. Experience with after-school programs is especially welcome. You should have good Swedish communication skills and be able to use a computer as a work tool. We prefer candidates with experience implementing the current curriculum and a good understanding of the school's mission regarding value-based work and equal treatment. As a person, you are good at working independently and can take initiative. You excel at building positive relationships with both students and guardians. Additionally, you are solution-focused and contribute to a good work environment.
Daily after-school activities run Monday to Friday from 5:50 AM to 5:45 PM. There are no buses running this early in the morning, so you should have a driver's license and car, or live near the school.
Warm welcome to apply!
