Leisure Leader – Christmas Holiday Substitute for Fritid Järva

Järva District Administration is currently seeking temporary leisure leaders for the Christmas holiday who want to create safe, fun, and developmental activities for children and young people aged 10–15 during the holiday season. Leisure Järva is responsible for several youth centers and playgrounds that will be filled with Christmas spirit, community, and activities, both indoors and outdoors during the holiday. You will have the opportunity to influence the content of the holiday activities and help create memorable days for children and young people in Järva. Your role As a leisure leader, you will plan, implement, and follow up on activities together with children and young people as well as other colleagues. During the holiday, we will arrange winter activities, crafts, sports, cultural events, and collaborative projects with civil society and other operations within the City of Stockholm. You may also mentor youth working during the holiday, plan work shifts, and contribute to a safe and inclusive environment. The work primarily takes place in the afternoons, evenings, and some weekends. Collaboration with local actors such as associations and schools is a natural part of everyday life. Your qualifications and experience We are looking for someone who: - Is educated or studying to be a leisure leader, leisure pedagogue, or equivalent. - Has experience working with children and young people aged 10–15. - Has knowledge in equality, gender, norm criticism, and LGBTQ issues. It is advantageous if you: - Have experience as a leisure leader, youth leader, or sports leader. - Have training in motivational interviewing (MI) or a norm-critical approach. - Have experience from the association sector. We seek someone who is confident, engaged, and easily builds relationships. You are proactive, pedagogical, and see opportunities in every situation. You contribute to a good collaborative climate and have a big heart for the development of children and young people.
