About this role
Fornbackaskolan is a two-track elementary school (grades F-6) with approximately 340 students and 80 staff members. We are a primary school and an adapted primary school, which also includes a department for students with mobility impairments. The school also has its own special education group and a municipal special education group. Fornbackaskolan is a multicultural school located in a residential area where most of our students live. At Fornbackaskolan, we view differences as an asset and a source of security, with equal value for all at the center.
At Fornbackaskolan, we work with a language and knowledge-developing approach. Communication and interaction are central here. Teachers use cooperative support structures to encourage students to communicate and use language actively. The focus is also on strengthening students' reading skills by systematically training decoding and language comprehension. We actively work to expand students' vocabulary by introducing new words in meaningful contexts and offering opportunities to use words in conversation exercises or self-produced texts.
Through an accessible learning environment, we ensure that all students have a positive learning experience and the opportunity to reach their full potential. Classrooms have interactive whiteboards and tablets. All tablets are equipped with programs available in Skolon, the municipality's shared digital platform.

Your Responsibilities
As an elementary school teacher for after-school activities, you will organize a learning, developing, and meaningful after-school program for students. The work involves planning and developing pedagogical activities, both individually and together with your colleagues in the team.
This also includes creating an after-school program that is accessible to all students by using various resources and materials.
During school hours, you will teach students in certain PREST subjects, primarily music. There is also time for planning, class collaboration, and break-time activities.

You take initiative and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. The position requires clear communication and the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
We want you to be able to adapt teaching and activities so that students can succeed based on their conditions. You should be flexible and able to adjust when faced with new situations.
Requirements:
- Certified elementary school teacher for after-school activities, with a music specialization
- Experience working in an adapted primary school or in a special education group
- Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Merits:
- Knowledge of AAC and sign language support
- Proficiency with digital tools, used creatively in teaching and for personal planning, follow-up, and documentation
