Ref: 20252624 Recreation Department's New Sports Hall Section is Now Seeking a Sports Hall Caretaker Who Wants to Become Part of Our Committed and Service-Oriented Team. In this role, you will work with operations, management, and maintenance of our sports halls, contributing to creating safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environments where associations, schools, and visitors can conduct their activities. This is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. Work Responsibilities As a Sports Hall Caretaker, you have an important role in creating a secure, functional, and pleasant environment for associations, schools, and the public. You will work with varied tasks related to operations, service, and maintenance of our sports halls. The role includes, among other things: • Preparing halls for various activities and events – such as moving equipment, setting up goals and nets, and retrieving tools. • Performing minor repairs in facilities and changing rooms in collaboration with the department's craftsmen. • Managing and maintaining activity areas and facilities. • Conducting rough cleaning and facility maintenance as needed. • Reporting faults, writing inspection reports, and handling deviations. • Performing rounds and ensuring halls and equipment are in good condition and meet applicable safety requirements. • Responsible for key and tag management, alarm routines, security systems, and systematic fire protection work. • Maintaining ongoing contact with associations, school personnel, and colleagues in the operations department. The position is primarily during daytime, but some evening and weekend work may occur. Qualifications We are seeking someone who has: • High school diploma or other education and/or experience deemed equivalent by the employer • Driving License B (manual transmission) • Experience from work in sports facilities, sports halls, school environments, or similar settings • Previous experience with customer contact • Basic IT skills and ability to handle email, fault reporting, and simple digital work orders in Office suite • Communicates fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing It is meritorious if you have: • Education as a property technician, property manager, or equivalent • Training in systematic fire protection work • Scaffolding and lift training As a person, you are safety-conscious, reliable, and take responsibility in your work.
