Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality and we welcome applicants who possess linguistic and cultural knowledge of the Sami language. **JOB DESCRIPTION** The Outdoor Life Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, developing, and promoting outdoor life within the municipality. This role aims to create favorable conditions for accessible, sustainable, and inclusive outdoor life for all residents and visitors. The work involves both strategic planning and development. **Key Responsibilities** - Participate in the work on the municipality's governing documents regarding outdoor life issues. - Drive and develop projects and collaborations that enhance outdoor life, often in cooperation with associations, schools, businesses, and other stakeholders. - Work on issues concerning trails and paths, coordinating and supporting associations, landowners, landowner associations, and volunteers engaged in outdoor life. - Work to increase accessibility to nature and recreational areas for all community groups and inform about opportunities, trails, and activities related to outdoor life, contributing to the municipality's attractiveness and quality of life. - Collaborate within the municipality and the county on trail issues and outdoor life initiatives. - Integrate outdoor life into the municipality's work on public health, tourism, culture, and sustainable community development. - Respond to motions and citizen proposals related to outdoor life matters. - Act as a contact person and knowledge resource in outdoor life issues for the municipality's various operations. - Participate in networks and cooperate with regional and national actors. - Monitor the municipality's outdoor life activities through statistics and reports. **QUALIFICATIONS** - Higher education or equivalent competence through experience. - Experience and knowledge in project management, outdoor life development, and accessibility issues are advantageous. You can work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete tasks you have started, and meet deadlines. As a person, you are unpretentious, focused on the common goal, and can quickly find solutions to any problems that may arise. **OTHER** The position is vacant provided that there are no redundancies, need for reassignment, or priority applicants within the municipality.
