Kalix Folk High School is beautifully located at the mouth of the Kalix River, a few kilometers from Kalix center in Norrbotten County. The school is managed by SV (Study Association Adult Education Norrbotten). Today, Kalix Folk High School offers an educational alternative for approximately 250 students each year, making us a relatively large folk high school with a history dating back to 1939. The school has changed significantly in recent years, and as we follow societal developments, it is important to be flexible to handle our mission effectively.
The school offers both on-site and distance learning programs in various areas, providing a highly diverse range of educational opportunities.
Knowledge is today's most sought-after asset, and at Kalix Folk High School, we ensure we contribute to popular education with a vision of focusing on each individual.
We now need to strengthen our teaching team as the course manager for our highly popular Journalism Program moves on to a new assignment.
We are seeking someone who wants to help shape future journalists and is passionate about supporting others in an exciting media world. We believe the ideal candidate has a solid background in journalism, good industry insight with a broad network. However, you should also have the ability to share your knowledge with others. Essentially, you need a genuine commitment to creating something unique for our participants.
Our journalism program is primarily structured as a distance education with a few annual meetings at Kalix Folk High School. Therefore, strong digital skills are considered advantageous.
Experience in popular education is a plus. Our vision is FUTURE, which also reflects the flexibility prevalent in society and mirrors our operations. Diversity, community, and joy permeate our educational programs, which we are committed to maintaining. We want to make studies possible for everyone!
