Nearly 1 million inhabitants live and work here. The district is divided into eight local police areas: Globen, Farsta, Skärholmen, Nacka, Haninge/Nynäshamn, Huddinge, Botkyrka, and Södertälje. At the district level, there are investigation sections, serious crime sections, surveillance sections, domestic violence sections, operational support sections, and investigation duty sections. Additionally, there is a district police office. Local Police Area Globen is part of Police District Stockholm South. The local police area includes intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, and support services. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The pre-trial investigation leader position involves leading work related to the local problem landscape within the Globen Local Police Area. You will also act as a team leader for a group of investigators. You will work closely with investigators, other police pre-trial investigation leaders, group managers, prosecutors, and other resources in the local and district police areas. Common work tasks include: • Leading, distributing, and making decisions within pre-trial investigations • Motivating employees to work result-oriented in investigations, setting goals and expectations • Working in groups with other pre-trial investigation leaders and investigators across a broad range of crime categories, including serious crimes, youth offenses, and volume crimes • Prioritizing, allocating resources, and following up cases with your group manager • Participating in change and development work within the organization As the Globen Local Police Area is located in an event area, the work also involves leading and making decisions in pre-trial investigations related to events and sports. QUALIFICATIONS This is an opportunity for those who have: • Police exam in accordance with police regulations or other education deemed relevant by the employer • Completed the Police Authority's basic pre-trial investigation training or other qualifying training • Excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written • Excellent proficiency in the Office suite • Investigative work experience deemed relevant by the employer • Valid B driver's license Additional merits include: • Current experience working within the Police Authority • Leadership experience • Investigation and/or pre-trial investigation leadership experience • Completed Police Authority's advanced pre-trial investigation training • Experience with confidential investigative methods • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English Personal Characteristics We are seeking someone who is confident, stable, and adept at handling various situations. You have extensive experience in planning, organizing, and prioritizing work efficiently and understand the importance of setting time frames to meet deadlines. In stressful situations, you remain calm and controlled while maintaining a realistic perspective to focus on the right things. You can make quick decisions and act on them, even with limited information or challenging circumstances. You are adaptable, able to change perspectives and approaches. You have strong collaboration skills, are attentive, and can easily interact with others, both externally and internally. We will place significant emphasis on personal characteristics.
