**Description**
Värnamo Municipality is part of the Swedish National Agency for Education's targeted measures for newly arrived and other multilingual children and students' learning since August 2023.
A broad initiative is being made around language and knowledge-enhancing methods, where all teachers in the municipality will strengthen their skills and how it contributes to the language development of all students.

Bors School is a pleasant 7-9 school with around 200 students, located just outside Värnamo. The school's indoor and outdoor environment underwent extensive renovation in 2019 and now offers bright, flexible, and inviting classrooms and workspaces. The school works, among other things, with set goals around the learning environment, attendance, and study peace.
**Tasks**
- In the role of senior teacher, you will work on developing teaching for increased goal achievement. In addition, as a senior teacher, you will drive developmental issues and have a key role in leading collegial learning. This means anchoring research and proven experience in teaching.
- The assignment includes being a role model for colleagues and actively contributing to visibility and advocacy for teaching in accordance with the municipality's development work.
- The principal plans with the senior teacher the conditions and possibly overarching development efforts in the annual assignment dialogue.
- Teaching in mathematics, chemistry, biology, and physics.
**Qualifications**
You must be able to document at least four years of well-regarded work with teaching within one or more employments in the educational sector.
You should demonstrate a particularly good ability to improve students' academic results and a strong interest in developing teaching. Additionally, you will be assessed by the employer as particularly qualified for teaching and tasks related to teaching.
You must be a licensed teacher in mathematics, chemistry, biology, and physics, and have a drive to develop teaching.
**Conditions**
The application must include a cover letter explaining why you are applying for the position.
In your cover letter, describe how you view the assignment as a senior teacher and how you can be a role model for other teachers in the municipality in your professional practice. Provide examples of development projects you have initiated, led, or participated in, and how this has impacted students' goal achievement.
The position will be filled provided that the necessary decisions are made. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
Child and Education Administration. Our administration is responsible for preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, adult education, and cultural schools in the municipality.
