About this role

You want something. So do we! We want to create value and contribute to the quality of life for our residents, businesses, organizations, and visitors. We do this by listening, collaborating, experimenting, learning, and then trying again. Here, anything is possible for those who want to create, change, nurture, build, guide, develop, and make a difference. Helsingborg is the city for those who aspire to achieve. About the workplace Welcome to the Wieselgren preschool area, where you will meet dedicated employees in a warm climate where everyone is welcome. Our core values—curiosity, participation, and inclusivity—permeate our entire operation. The area consists of Guldsmedsgatan Preschool, Traktörsgatan Preschool, Åhusgatan Preschool, Villa Canzonetta Preschool, and the Högaborg Family Center. The preschools are located in close proximity to each other. Our approach is project-oriented with a common project title, "Children in the City, the City in Children," where we explore, leave traces, and build relationships with each other and our city in various ways together with the children to create a sustainable future. Our preschools are inspired by the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy. This means that children are democratically involved in shaping their daily lives in preschool. We want to provide children with opportunities to express themselves, and we work with inspiring and challenging learning environments both indoors and outdoors. We have easy access to beautiful and exciting green areas like Viskstråket and Jordbodalen, where we often walk to experience and explore nature with the children. We are a multicultural area where many different languages and cultures meet, and we see this as a great strength in our work. As an employee with us, you are important! Here, there are excellent conditions for you in your work. We provide forums for reflection and participatory culture within the work team, preschool, and area. A preschool psychologist and special educator are available as support and sounding boards in your work. Your tasks As a preschool teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating the educational work in accordance with the curriculum for preschool (Lpfö 18 revised 2025) and other relevant governing documents together with your colleagues. As an educator here, you need to build trusting relationships with each other, the children, and their families. Our core values of curiosity, participation, and inclusivity are enacted through concrete actions and interactions in our communication and teaching to challenge, stimulate, and support the children's development and learning. We work project-oriented, where children have significant participation by reflecting on their learning with co-researching and attentive educators. The work team has scheduled reflection time every week, where you, together with your colleagues and using pedagogical documentation as an approach, develop the teaching to create multilingual, inclusive, and creative challenges and learning environments for the children. Families are an essential part of our operations, and together in the work team, you invite participation and involvement in various forums. What we offer We offer you a varied, responsible, and stimulating job with opportunities for personal development. The workplace is smoke-free and health-conscious. As an employee, you will receive a wellness allowance of 3000 SEK per year. Qualifications We are looking for you, a licensed preschool teacher with great commitment! Interaction and collaboration are important aspects of meeting people, so you need to be able to communicate well and build positive relationships. You are a curious and attentive educator who can work exploratively with both children and adults. You are well-acquainted with the preschool curriculum and can implement it in your teaching. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working in line with the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy and using pedagogical documentation as an approach. You have experience working with a variety of expressions to deepen children's exploration and learning. You appreciate the value of and can create creative and inspiring learning environments. You see yourself as a team player, and together with your work team, you develop the conditions for children's learning through systematic quality work. You actively stay updated on research and development and maintain a professional approach grounded in democratic values. You possess good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken, and are comfortable using various digital tools for reflection and documentation.
