**Your Responsibilities**
As a preschool teacher in Västerås City, you play a central role in leading and developing the educational work together with your colleagues. You will plan, implement, and follow up on the teaching based on the preschool curriculum while closely engaging with the children's interests, curiosity, and needs.
You will utilize an exploratory and project-based approach where the children's thoughts and ideas take center stage and guide the learning journey. Together with your team, you will drive the educational development work and contribute to a preschool where reflection, collaboration, and quality are an integral part of everyday life.
Upon employment, you will be placed at one of our preschools. Your placement may change in the future based on the needs of the organization.
**Your Qualifications**
We are looking for someone who is a certified preschool teacher or is about to complete your education and is ready to step into the workforce. You have a solid understanding of the preschool’s mission and are motivated by a desire to create a safe and stimulating learning environment for every child.
You have a genuine interest in developing the preschool’s operations. You are motivated to contribute to an equitable preschool where all children are given the best conditions to develop and learn. Your language skills are important. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and use the language as a conscious tool in teaching.

**Recruitment Process**
In Västerås City, we have a central and unified recruitment process for preschool teachers. This means that we interview and fill our positions continuously based on the needs of the preschools. You will of course have the opportunity to request specific preschools or areas when you submit your application. If you proceed after an interview, you will have the chance to visit selected preschools based on current needs.

Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police criminal record.
In connection with employment, you need to prove your citizenship. This can be done with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document.
