About this role

Do you want to help develop our environmentally and nature-inspired preschool? Vildingen parent cooperative in Kortedala is currently seeking a licensed preschool teacher who wants to work at a small preschool where you can make a difference. If you also have a principal certification and are interested in a shared position, that is an advantage. Nestled close to nature in northern Kortedala, you will find our small parent cooperative, which has been established since the 1990s. We currently have 17 children enrolled, and our preschool is located in a spacious facility with its own outdoor area and proximity to an exciting forested area. We are a nonprofit organization without religious or political ties. **About the Position** The staff currently consists of one principal (25%)/teacher (75%), two childcare workers, and one kitchen manager/childcare worker. We are now looking for two full-time preschool teachers. As we will soon have an available principal position, we are also seeking a principal at 25%, with the opportunity for a shared role between the principal and preschool teacher. Together, you will shape the operations and provide the children with every opportunity to develop, have fun, and learn new things. Currently, we operate from 06:30 to 17:00, but these hours may change if the needs of the operations evolve. Some advantages of working at a parent cooperative include being met by engaged guardians who take on practical tasks (cleaning, working with the children, serving on the board, etc.). Decision-making is also more straightforward. You will work independently to a large extent and have considerable opportunity to shape both your own working environment and the preschool's educational activities. **Who Are You?** We are looking for a licensed preschool teacher who is attentive, present, and a curious educator. It is important to us that you can build trusting relationships with our children, as well as being positive and able to collaborate easily with your colleagues. A strong drive and desire to contribute new ideas and perspectives are considered important traits for developing the operations alongside us. You should also enjoy working in nature and engaging in hands-on activities, as the environment and creativity are central to our operations. An interest in gardening is welcome, as the preschool has its own greenhouse. Since we are a parent cooperative, it is essential that you feel comfortable collaborating closely with guardians who are also employers. We are looking for someone who can envision growing into the cooperative and becoming part of our team. In our recruitment process, significant emphasis will be placed on you as a person. The most crucial factor is not the amount of experience you have; we are more interested in you and how you can contribute to the operations. A collective agreement applies, and we offer wellness benefits. The position begins in December or as agreed. Selection and interviews take place continuously, so you are warmly welcome to submit your application now. Please send your CV and a cover letter to: [email protected]. For any questions, please contact: Chair of the Board: Hannes Lloret Andreasson, phone 0735151227 Principal: Magdalena Norrby
