About this role
Job Responsibilities
Do you want to work in an environment where you help children grow every day while growing yourself? As a preschool teacher with us, you'll help create a safe, educational, and fun daily experience for children while developing in your professional role.
You'll lead pedagogical work alongside colleagues in an engaged team. Together, you'll plan, implement, document, and follow up on education based on the preschool curriculum. We believe in a working approach where collaboration, responsibility, and clear communication are natural parts of daily life.
We value good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, and see you as an important role model in children's lives. Together, we build community for both big and small!
As an employer, we offer you excellent opportunities to develop and grow in your professional role. You'll have access to skills development, including our appreciated leadership training. If you're a recent graduate, you'll receive an experienced mentor to support you during your initial period with us.
We are now seeking someone who wants to be part of the development work for children in Kortedala.
Would you like to be part of our change journey based on our shared visions and inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy? Here, you'll have the opportunity to lead a team and be part of a path where you develop teaching through collaboration and curiosity with your colleagues. If so, you might be the one we're looking for at our preschools.
We are currently on an exciting change journey towards high-quality education with a "whole day perspective". By 2026, we're developing our organizations where different roles collaborate to strengthen children's learning - for example, through roles such as atelierista, outdoor educator, lead preschool teacher/development pedagogue, and special education teacher.
We are also actively working on a changed view of outdoor environments, based on Team Kortedala's shared vision, "From traditional playground to pedagogical learning space."
We encounter multilingualism and cultural diversity daily, which we see as an amazing opportunity to make a real difference for children and families. We carry our compensatory mission with pride and start from an inclusive approach: all children do right if they can - and we are shaped together in our relationships.
Qualifications
We are seeking a licensed preschool teacher with the ability to create good collaborations and relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You are a confident leader and good role model for both children and adults, with the ability to create a positive and developmental environment where children can develop at their own pace.
You can plan, implement, document, and analyze activities according to the preschool curriculum and other governing documents. You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and are comfortable using digital tools at work.
Meriting Factors
- Experience working project-oriented based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy
- Experience with language development approaches
- Ability to lead change and be confident in the preschool teacher role
Does this sound like something for you? Do you want to help give Gothenburg's children opportunities for a good future - every day?
Then we look forward to your application.
