About this role
Do You Want to Help Create a Creative Environment Centered on Children's Curiosity? Welcome to Apply at Alnängarna Preschool!
About the Position
As a Preschool Teacher with us, you will be a key part of creating a safe, exploratory, and creative environment for children. We work with an approach where aesthetic forms of expression such as painting, clay, and dance are central tools for children's exploration of the world. Therefore, we are seeking someone who is collaborative, reflective, and creative in their pedagogical role.
You will be placed in one of our five departments and follow the child group throughout their time at the preschool. Together with an engaged team, you will create a stimulating environment where children's thoughts, questions, and interests are at the center. We work with project-based learning in small groups and base our pedagogical work on children's curiosity. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas and help develop a creative operation.
Example Responsibilities:
• Lead, organize, and develop instruction
• Develop pedagogical content and accessible environments that challenge and stimulate children's interest and curiosity
• Conduct development conversations
• Ensure education is documented, followed up, analyzed, and evaluated
• Work together as a team to promote children's influence and participation
About the Workplace
Alnängarna Preschool is located in newly built facilities near the CV area, close to the Alnängarna allotment gardens. The preschool is on two floors and consists of five age-homogeneous departments. We have a nature-close yard with an outdoor studio, studios on each floor, and good staff facilities. Our own kitchen prepares food with a focus on organic and high-quality ingredients. In our restaurant, the chef collaborates with children and educators to create good routines and a sustainable food culture. Once a week, children participate in cooking or growing edible plants used in the kitchen.
We value continuous skills development through pedagogical evenings, networks, and preschool conferences within our unit.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone who is confident in their role as a preschool teacher and takes responsibility for their work. You have a good understanding of how children acquire knowledge and can adapt instruction based on their different conditions. You are proactive, see what needs to be done, and actively contribute to development and improvement in pedagogical work. You build secure relationships focused on solutions, have a flexible approach, and always prioritize children's best interests. You work to center children's ideas and thoughts and have a strong belief in the competent child. You collaborate well with others, are attentive, and communicate clearly with colleagues, children, and guardians. Good computer skills are required as the work involves digital documentation.
