Job Responsibilities: The position involves planning, implementation, and follow-up of collaboration projects between the Continuing Education Division for School Internationalization (FBA) and schools. The position holder will collaborate with the FBA teaching staff to develop, coordinate, and drive teaching development projects with schools. The assignment includes research and collaboration tasks, as well as administrative duties related to the collaboration project. Additionally, some teaching within the framework of FBA's regular activities may occur, not exceeding 20% of the employment.
The position is focused on collaboration projects related to language didactics in modern languages and/or English. The design and content of collaboration projects will be determined in consultation with the FBA colleagues and participating schools, based on schools' needs for didactic competence development, grounded in current language didactic theory and method. The research coordinator will be responsible for coordinating identified needs with the scientific and didactic expertise within FBA, with the aim of creating a collaboration project based on current language didactic research findings.
Qualification Requirements: Eligible for employment is someone who has obtained a doctoral degree in didactics with a focus on modern languages and/or English or has achieved equivalent scientific competence.
Desired and/or Meritorious Qualifications: Experience in collaboration projects is meritorious. Particularly meritorious is experience with collaboration projects between universities and primary or secondary schools relevant to the position. Research experience in the field of didactics focusing on modern languages and/or English is meritorious. Teacher training in subjects relevant to the position, as well as teaching experience from youth schools, is meritorious.
In the selection among qualified applicants, particular importance will be placed on both scientific and pedagogical skills. Scientific skills refer to research merits and the applicant's potential to contribute to the collaboration project of the position. Additional skills in administration and leadership will also be considered.
The university will primarily consider the candidate who, after a qualitative overall assessment of competence and skills, is deemed to have the best prerequisites to perform and develop the current tasks and contribute to a positive development of the activities.
About the Position: Individual salary setting applies. The position is time-limited until 2026-12-15. The scope is 60%. Start date 2026-01-01 or by agreement. Location is Uppsala.
