The Communication Section, one of ten sections in the University Administration, works to increase the university's visibility, attractiveness, and communicative ability. The section consists of four departments: Research and External Communication, Branding and Digital Platforms, Internal Communication and Management Support, and Student Communication and Marketing. The Communication Section has approximately 60 employees. To meet a changing external environment, Lund University needs to act faster and find new ways of working. Therefore, we need a nimble and professional communication function that supports the university's core activities: education, research, and collaboration. Communication issues are high on the management agenda. With the new organization, we have a partially new mission, and this position is perfect for those who want to help build something new. You will be part of the Research and External Communication department, which is responsible for conveying news about the university and its activities, promoting the university's attractiveness and visibility both nationally and internationally, and managing research communication. Then this role is for you! As a Research Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing research web pages on lu.se and lunduniversity.lu.se. You will be the primary writer for research texts on these pages. The work also includes developing new formats and distribution channels for research content. Additionally, you will provide support for researchers, experts, and content producers at various levels of the organization on research communication matters. You will be stationed in the Research and External Communication department. This is a temporary position. Example Responsibilities: - Develop pages about research, research collaboration, innovation, and popular science events on lu.se and lunduniversity.lu.se - Create new formats and presentation platforms for various types of research content and texts - Project manage new initiatives for Lund University's research content on the web - Write texts about research at Lund University - Contribute to spreading and highlighting Lund University's research content through active collaboration with web strategists and managers of other research communication channels, such as news production and social media - Analyze and follow up on content work - Coach and train researchers in research communication - Contribute to strategic research communication efforts - Provide support in university-wide communication projects, such as developing new presentation materials Qualifications We are seeking someone with an interest in research, driven by curiosity and the desire to make complex subjects accessible to different target groups. To succeed in this role, you need to be a skilled communicator and writer, both in Swedish and English. You should have a good sense of image and design, combined with the ability to leverage publishing tools' possibilities and limitations. You need to be attentive and have a good ability to see both the big picture and details. You understand the importance of working together and following principles and guidelines. As a person, you are collaborative, pedagogical, and structured. Requirements: - Education in communication, digital strategy, or equivalent - Experience working as a web editor, content strategist, or equivalent - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English - Current knowledge of web communication - Proficiency in web publishing systems - Experience in storytelling training - Experience coaching researchers in presentation techniques Preferred Qualifications: - Adapting complex material for web audiences - Drupal web publishing - Project management experience - Storytelling experience, preferably in various formats Additional Information: Position is a temporary assignment from 01/26-04/26 at 100% capacity.
