We are now seeking a Research Engineer for the Department of Computer and Information Science.
About the Job
The work will be conducted within the EU project 6G-LEADER. The selected candidate will work on topics related to information semantics and targeted communication. As a research engineer, you will primarily be conducting research.
About You
We are seeking a candidate with a master's degree in computer science, electrical and systems engineering, or a similar field.
You should have a solid mathematical background, particularly in stochastic modeling, optimization, and reinforcement learning; Previous experience with EU projects is a plus.
A requirement for the position is having produced academic articles, with an expectation of at least three top-tier IEEE or ACM publications as the first author.

The Department of Computer and Information Science (IDA) was founded in 1983, but our roots go back to the early 1970s. It is one of the largest computer science departments in Northern Europe. Our research covers a broad spectrum of areas, from fundamental computer science to applied fields. Our extensive research also influences our undergraduate and graduate education, leading to courses in numerous civil and college engineering programs, as well as programs in innovative programming, cognitive science, and statistics.
