About this role

Department of Energy and Technology About the Job We are seeking a research assistant who can collect and compile food waste statistics from EU member states and various stakeholders in the food supply chain. The role also includes drafting project reports and other publications. Since the work involves collaboration with project partners in other countries, coordination and cooperation with them will also be required. This position is part of the WasteWise research project, which aims to test various regulatory measures to reduce food waste at different stages of the food supply chain within the EU. The work involves collaboration with stakeholders and project partners, which may require travel. Your Background Requirements: - Master’s degree in a relevant field such as technology, food science, or environmental science. - The successful candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English and Swedish. Meritorious: - Knowledge of food waste and food systems. - Ability to communicate in one or more of the EU's official languages, in addition to English and Swedish. - Experience in visualizing and illustrating results. - Experience in drafting reports in English. - Experience in compiling scientific literature. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities, such as teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
