About this role

The Department of Social Work (ISA) is responsible for the social work program, master's programs, doctoral education, and research in social work at Uppsala University. The department conducts several research projects, including those closely linked to the practice of social work, addressing social problems, their causes, and consequences at the individual, group, and societal levels. This position is part of the research program, What Works, scheduled to run until June 30, 2029, and includes four different subprojects. The research in these projects is conducted using both quantitative and qualitative methods, aimed at developing work in collaboration with Uppsala municipality to identify children and young people at risk of harm early on. Subproject 1 addresses preventive work and early interventions for parents with infants. Subproject 2 focuses on preventive work and early interventions for schoolchildren in elementary school. Subproject 3 addresses preventive work and early interventions for non-conformist children in middle school. Subproject 4 deals with preventive work and early interventions concerning honor-related violence. The research work will include collecting, processing, and analyzing interview data. Your responsibilities will also include presenting research results orally and in writing in various contexts, such as publishing articles in scientific journals and giving presentations at scientific conferences. **Qualification Requirements** For the position, it is required that you have: - A Ph.D. in social work or another discipline that the employer deems relevant to the content of the position. - Strong knowledge of and experience with early and preventive interventions for children and families in need is a requirement for the position. - Extensive experience in collaboration between child health services and social services is a requirement for the position. - Very good knowledge of children's health, well-being, and development is a requirement for the position. - Excellent proficiency in spoken and written Swedish is a requirement for the position. - Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods is a requirement for the position. The applicant should possess the personal qualities necessary to perform the position effectively. Such personal qualities include attention to detail, flexibility, good collaboration skills, and effective communication skills. Since the work will be carried out in close collaboration with other participants in the research project, we place significant emphasis on collaboration skills. **Desirable/Preferred Qualifications** - Experience and knowledge in analyzing research data using thematic analysis is advantageous. - Good knowledge of the BarnSäkert method is advantageous. **About the Position** The position is temporary for approximately 1 month.
