The Department of Economics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) is announcing a temporary position as a researcher in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Sustainable Development (EIS) group. The research group conducts studies aimed at developing and understanding entrepreneurship and innovation as social change processes.
About the Job
You will (I) actively contribute to the group’s research on entrepreneurship and innovation with a focus on sustainability issues and social change processes, (II) independently develop research leading to publications in high-quality scientific journals, (III) apply for external research funding, and (IV) develop and run courses as well as supervise students at all levels within the EIS educational mission (organization, leadership, marketing, entrepreneurship, innovation, and methodology).
Your Background
Applicants should have a background in business administration or other comparable fields, with a focus on a combination of entrepreneurship, sustainability issues (e.g., economic, environmental, or social sustainability), and social change processes. We are looking for a highly motivated researcher who, at the start of the employment, will have (I) a completed doctoral degree in a relevant subject area, (II) documented experience in publishing scientific articles, and (III) documented teaching experience (for this position, experience in teaching methodology is particularly meritorious).
Meritorious for the position are (I) experience in interdisciplinary work, (II) advanced knowledge of qualitative methods, (III) experience in entrepreneurship from both developing countries and a European context, and (IV) experience in applying for external research grants.
Very good knowledge of English (both spoken and written) is essential. Knowledge of Swedish is desirable. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for this position.
