The Department of Care Science and Health conducts education and research focused on care, health, and human living conditions. We educate nurses, radiography nurses, specialist nurses, and midwives with the goal of meeting society's need for competent and engaged healthcare personnel. Research at the department spans many areas but shares a common foundation in person-centered and evidence-based care. We are nationally and internationally leading in person-centered care, and this approach permeates education, research, and collaboration with healthcare. The department is part of the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and is located on Campus Medicinareberget, in direct proximity to Sahlgrenska University Hospital, an environment characterized by interprofessional collaboration, clinical relevance, and high academic quality. Our department has approximately 1,200 students training in healthcare licensed professions, both at undergraduate and advanced levels.

We are seeking a researcher for an ongoing project following extremely premature children from birth through school age
Job Responsibilities:
The position involves conducting independent research in areas related to health, learning, and clinical practice. Tasks include developing the longitudinal EPITOP study following children born before week 28 of pregnancy into a full-scale project. Writing and publishing scientific texts. Further responsibilities include developing research in care science and related disciplines, with connections to biomarkers and clinical application.
The position involves working in an interdisciplinary team, regularly presenting one's own work at research group and section meetings, and contributing to the research environment's development in the learning and leadership section.
A small portion of teaching in scientific method and theory may be included, as well as supervision and examination of thesis work.
