**Description of the Workplace**
The Department of Water Resources Engineering (TVRL) is part of the Department of Building and Environmental Technology (IB&M).
The department is currently in a strong development phase with many new externally funded research projects. During a transitional period, there is a need for additional support through the hiring of part-time researchers.
**Job Responsibilities**
The main responsibilities include:
- Leadership of the UNU Hub, a collaboration between LU and the UN University.
- Associate editorship for the journal "Vatten."
- Advisory role for the FARMWISE (EU-Horizon project).
- Examination and supervision of doctoral candidates.
**Requirements for Employment**
- A completed PhD.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
- Extensive experience in leadership for organizations and larger projects.
- Experience collaborating with UN organizations in the water sector.
- Experience in editorial work.
- Research experience in the field of water resource management.
**Meritorious for Employment**
Consideration will also be given to good collaboration skills, drive, and independence, as well as how the applicant's experience and expertise are assessed to complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department and contribute to its development.
**Conditions**
Temporary employment for 1 year, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. Employment rate 50%.
Start date: January 1, 2026.
