You will be part of the Mark Workshop Stockholm, which is a unit within the Swedish Armed Forces Technical Schools (FMTS), with approximately 70 employees. Check out this link: https://youtu.be/jDWtiZdUfSk Main Responsibilities As a mechanic, you will primarily work with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and their systems used within the Armed Forces, such as trucks, combat vehicles, tracked vehicles, construction machinery, trailers, and containers. The work involves both preventive and corrective maintenance as well as modifications based on established guidelines. Qualifications - At least a two- or three-year vocational education in vehicle technology, specializing in vehicles, or other education/competence acquired through professional experience that the employer deems equivalent. - Relevant previous experience working as a mechanic on heavy vehicles. - A valid B driver's license. Personal Attributes We are looking for someone who is quality-conscious and works well both independently and in a team. As a vehicle mechanic, you are structured, decisive, and make accurate assessments and priorities. Furthermore, you are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt in a changing environment. MERITORIOUS - Experience working with the Armed Forces' equipment and vehicles. - Knowledge of hydraulics. - Experience in workshop operations and material maintenance. - C or CE driver's license. - Experience working with heavy vehicles. - Experience with vehicle diagnostic systems and vehicle electronics. - AC certification.
