JOB DESCRIPTION The Community Building Administration's Operations and Maintenance Department is seeking a skilled mechanic for our workshop, focusing on passenger cars. You will work with service, maintenance, and repair of the municipality's passenger cars, handling both traditional mechanical tasks and advanced vehicle electronics and diagnostics. Your responsibilities will include, among other things: - Service and repairs of engines, brakes, steering, and other mechanical systems - Troubleshooting and actions in electrical and control systems - Installation of devices such as alcohol locks - Use of diagnostic tools and interpretation of wiring diagrams QUALIFICATIONS We are a service function for the entire Växjö municipal group and our vehicle fleet. This means that the work requires quality, precision, and cost awareness, while we also value collaboration and a service-oriented mindset. We are looking for someone with a vehicle technology education or equivalent experience, experience as a passenger car mechanic, good knowledge of vehicle electronics and diagnostics, the ability to read wiring diagrams and independently identify and rectify faults, a valid driver's license (B), and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
