The Flight Safety Coordinator is part of the airport management and has the entire airport organization as their work area, with the main tasks being flight safety-related issues related to documentation, training, and follow-up at F 7 airports.
As a Flight Safety Coordinator, you are responsible for developing and maintaining the airports' safety management systems by quality assuring and improving routines, structures, and methods. The tasks also include monitoring regulatory changes and analyzing potential impact on F 7 and its airports.
Main Work Tasks
- Ensure that the processes required for safety management systems are established, implemented, and maintained.
- Conduct internal training in the airport's safety management system.
- Review the content of airport management documents and ensure they are kept up to date.
- Identify and monitor regulatory changes affecting the airport's certification and flight safety.
- Report on the safety management system's function and improvement needs to the Local Airport Manager.
- Participate in the wing's audit activities and attend supervisory authority inspections.
- Conduct risk analyses and safety verifications before changes that may affect flight safety and airport operations.
- Support the Flight Safety Officer in proactive and reactive flight safety work.
- Be part of F 7 war unit.
Qualifications
- 3-year high school education with approved diploma
- Good computer skills with experience working in the Office package
- Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Manual transmission driver's license (B-license)
Meriting
- Relevant education for the position or equivalent knowledge and experience as assessed by the employer.
- Previous experience in airport operations or aviation.
- Experience in quality and audit work.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and investigations.
- Knowledge of military and civilian aviation systems.

Employment Scope: Full-time
Work Location: Såtenäs. Regular service trips to Karlsborg.
Commencement: As soon as possible according to agreement.
The position requires physical ability, travel, participation in training and exercises for the war organization.

Skaraborg Air Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. It houses fighter aircraft and the Swedish Armed Forces' collective resource of transport and special aircraft. We conduct basic and position training of conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Internationally, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for Swedish personnel at the international transport aircraft cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
