Fjälldalen Preschool is a preschool with six departments located close to nature and mountains, offering you as an educator a unique opportunity to help shape the future of preschool education. The preschool opened in January 2025, and we are now seeking someone who wants to join a fantastic team and build long-term work at the preschool. At our preschool, we meet children in their first educational experience and their first steps in lifelong learning, where you as an educator play a crucial role.

Job Responsibilities
The preschool curriculum (Lpfö18) describes the preschool's core values and mission, including goals and guidelines for preschool work. Children in preschool should receive a safe education where care, development, and learning form a cohesive whole.
As a childcare worker, you will work with the team to create a safe and developmental education for children. The work is challenging, exciting, creative, and occurs in close collaboration with your team and colleagues.
You will be part of a work team, participating in planning, implementation, and evaluation of children's education. You will collaborate with the team to offer children an enjoyable and educational experience.
Qualifications
We are seeking:
• Trained childcare workers
• Students currently studying to become childcare workers
• Current preschool employees
Key Requirements:
• Familiarity with the preschool curriculum (Lpfö18)
• Confident and clear leadership skills
• Ability to take initiative
• Positive attitude
• Trust in children's diverse competencies
• Knowledge and use of digital tools
• Ability to build trusting relationships with children and guardians
• Strong collaboration skills
• Experience with pedagogical conversations and documentation
• Use of visual support and TAKK (alternative communication methods)
• Interest in developing preschool education
Excellent Swedish language skills (spoken and written) are essential. Personal qualities and suitability will be heavily considered.
A police background check is required for this position.
As part of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is an administrative center for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of these languages is meritorious.
