About this role

Are you at the beginning of your career, have a strong interest in data, and want to help combat market abuse in the securities market? Then the role of Junior Financial Inspector with a focus on data-driven supervision is for you. About the Job Initially, you will primarily focus on operational supervision and the development of FI’s supervisory methods. Over time, and with experience, participation in the work with practices, guidance, and regulatory development may also become relevant. A significant part of the role involves managing supervisory cases within the unit's planned and risk-based supervision. The focus will mainly be on areas related to market abuse, such as investigations into individuals who have disclosed or traded on insider information or those who have manipulated the stock market through their orders or other means. You will have a particular responsibility to support colleagues in matters requiring strong data skills and the ability to translate data into practical supervision. The work may also include investigations related to transparency regulations, such as insider reporting, companies' information provision, or reporting of short net positions/short selling. In addition to case management, proactive supervisory efforts will be included, such as supervisory meetings, dialogue with market participants, communication efforts, and other preventive activities that strengthen compliance and market confidence. The supervisory area is rapidly evolving. Digital trading, algorithmic strategies, new financial instruments, and changing regulatory requirements contribute to a growing complexity that demands high competence, analytical ability, and technical understanding. FI will soon gain access to more extensive and complex order data as well as a new monitoring system, which means that new working methods and routines need to be developed to utilize the system's full potential and ensure effective supervision. Your Education and Experience We are looking for someone who: • has a degree in economics or statistics, or other education deemed equivalent • has experience working with and analyzing large data volumes, demonstrated through studies, thesis work, work experience, or similar • has strong analytical skills and experience working with large data volumes, demonstrated through studies, thesis work, work experience, or similar • expresses themselves very well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. It is advantageous if you have: • a focus on studies related to the securities market, for example through courses and/or thesis work • knowledge of securities trading, the securities market, and/or the operations of trading venues • knowledge of relevant regulations for the business, such as MAR, transparency regulations, MiFID/MiFIR, and other EU legislation in the area • work experience related to the securities market or with institutions relevant to the responsibilities of the Trading Supervision unit • certifications from the financial market. About You In this job, you need to: • contribute to good collaboration • drive your work forward and make decisions within your area of responsibility • have strong analytical skills and be able to solve complex tasks • act and make decisions when necessary.
