Do you want to contribute to transparency and combat market abuse? At the Trading Supervision unit, you will have a unique opportunity to work in oversight that strengthens confidence in the securities market. You will collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues to promote transparency and ensure regulatory compliance. About the job As a financial inspector in Trading Supervision, you will work to promote transparency and combat market abuse in the Swedish and European securities markets. You will manage supervisory cases within planned and risk-based oversight, focusing on transparency issues such as reporting obligations (e.g., flagging and insider notifications) as well as listed companies' handling of insider information and disclosure. The work may also involve investigations related to market abuse, such as insider trading and market manipulation. In addition to case management, you will participate in proactive supervisory efforts, dialogue with market participants, and preventive activities that strengthen regulatory compliance. The role involves close collaboration with other parts of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI), EU authorities, and market participants, providing a unique insight into how trading operates in practice. The supervisory area is rapidly evolving with digital trading, algorithmic strategies, and new regulations, which requires high analytical skills and technical understanding. Your education and experience We are looking for someone who: • has a degree in economics or law • has approximately ten years of experience in one or more of the following areas: banking, securities firms, trading venues, compliance functions, investor relations, or other related activities relevant to the securities market • has knowledge of securities trading, the securities market, and/or the operations of trading venues • expresses themselves very well in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. It is advantageous if you have: • a degree or training focused on the securities market, for example through a thesis • experience with a clear focus on the securities market • knowledge of relevant regulations for the business, such as MAR, transparency regulations, MiFID/MiFIR, and other EU legislation in the area • an understanding of listed companies' disclosure obligations and their responsibilities regarding insider information and other regulatory communication • certifications from the financial market.
