We are now seeking a Financial Analyst – Modelling Expert for our Business Development Unit within New Nuclear. Vattenfall has a clear strategy to contribute to a fossil-free society and be a leader in the green transition. We are proud to play a crucial role in meeting the increasing demand for fossil-free electricity production. To do this, we see that all fossil-free energy sources will be needed, which is why we have established an organization aimed at creating conditions for establishing new nuclear power. The organization is also responsible for driving the new nuclear power project on the Väröhalvön peninsula in Halland. The organization, New Nuclear (GX), belongs to the Power Generation business area. Within the Business Development unit, we work on strategic and financial issues that enable Vattenfall's investment in fossil-free electricity production. The team currently consists of 7 experienced specialists in business development and finance, and we collaborate closely with both internal and external parties to drive forward one of Sweden's most significant infrastructure projects. Requirements As a Financial Analyst – Modelling Expert, you will have a key role in developing and managing the external financing model for new nuclear power. You will collaborate with external advisors and be responsible for adapting the model to the organization's needs. The role involves acting as back-office support in negotiations with the Swedish government regarding the financing and risk-sharing model (FRSM) and preparing decision-making documentation for internal steering groups and management. You will be a crucial link between the project's business case and the financial model, contributing to ensuring quality and clarity in reporting to various stakeholders – from the Ministry of Finance to internal project teams. About You We are seeking candidates with the following experience and qualifications: • Several years of experience in financial modeling and valuation, preferably from larger organizations, banks, or consulting firms. • Excellent knowledge of Excel (including VBA/Macros). • Relevant college or university degree. • Excellent Swedish and English language skills, both spoken and written. As a person, you also need to have: • Strong analytical and strategic abilities. You understand complex connections and can manage conflicting interests to find sustainable solutions. • Structured work approach. You plan, prioritize, and document your work carefully – and deliver results that can withstand scrutiny. • Good communication skills. You can explain financial models and results clearly to different target groups, both internally and externally.
