**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Do you want to work with both the physical infrastructure and the digital technology that drives Sävsjö City Network? We are looking for a fiber and network technician who is passionate about building and maintaining the communication solutions of the future. You will have a varied role that combines practical work with advanced network technology.
**Responsibilities**
- Installation, splicing, and testing of fiber optic cables.
- Operation and maintenance of the city network's network infrastructure.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Monitoring of network performance and security.
- Documentation of fiber and network environments.
- Customer contact during installations and service cases.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in IT/networking or electrical/telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of fiber technology (splicing, OTDR testing, termination).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, and network security.
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
- A valid driver's license (B category) is required.
**Meritorious**
- Certifications such as CCNA or fiber technician certification.
- Experience with city networks or municipal IT environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring systems and network automation.
